‘Echoes in the Dawn’ a poem for Aurora, Colorado

Echoes in the Dawn

Those solar winds charged,

Banded together and

So made the light we see.

In our strongest, joyous moment

We are weakened by one of us

And it leaves an echo.

In our most painful hour and with tears

So shed

It leaves an echo

Oh that the Goddess of the Dawn

Would warm the tear stained face

So we may see

That joy in the morning

That strength just to go on

And our thoughts rip

In echo
