My husband and I were watching the Sky Island Saga of the anime, “One Piece” and there is one episode(ep. 184 I think) where Nami, Pirate Luffy’s navigator and friend- says she and Luffy are not going to make it against god Eneru. Eneru ate the lightening fruit or devil’s fruit and so he calls himself a god and everyone is afraid of him- except for Luffy. 
So as Nami stands there fretting, Luffy stills himself and tells her, “ What are you afraid of? I am King of the Pirates. You will be okay.”(Paraphrasing here), but the main thing is Nami has been sailing the seas with Luffy for a while now, and he got them across the grand line, fought vicious foes and now she is trembling. If you know you are with the king and a friend- why fear?
I thought of Hebrews 10:39 and we as believers in God the Father and Christ the Son, should react to almost any situation with total trust in Him. We are “not of those who shrink back and are destroyed” but we believe in who we serve and know for a fact we shall be saved.
You see, Luffy is not without fear. He is brave in spite of it. He wanted Nami to simply remember that even though they are up against this lunatic who thinks he is a true God and even though they are floating on his “Deathpeia”, Luffy has fought for her and their other friends and has won every battle. He will not let her down.
I don’t know who this message is for but the Lord God is King of Kings and Lord and Lords(Revelation 19:16), trust him to be your navigator today and remember all the things he has brought you out of in the past. Think of your friends and family members who have conquered their demons all in Jesus name.
Whom shall we fear?
None but the one who can take the body and our souls…
